Apple -Pay may soon be launched in India

Apple has been launching new products in India at regular intervals. Continuing it's launching spree, Apple now plans to launch Apple Pay in the country. The company has already discussed the matter with the National Payments Corporation of India, which is a regulatory agency under the RBI.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has been in talks with the Indian officials to create a local version of Apple Pay.

Cook says that there is no need for a third party App for scanning the QR code for verification of the UPI transactions.

There already are several applications like Google pay, WhatsApp pay and Paytm working in the country.
