ZimVsInd, 1st ODI: KL Rahul’s ton helps India win by 9 wickets
Harare: With some terrific unbeaten knocks of KL Rahul (100*) and Ambati Rayudu (62), India overpowered Zimbabwe by nine wickets in the opening encounter of the three-match One Day International series at the Harare Sports Club on Saturday.
Rahul hit a spell-bounding century on his debut match in 115 balls. His innings was flavoured with seven boundaries and a single six.
After an early departure of debutant Karun Nair (7), Rayudu was promoted up in the batting order and played a responsible knock of 62 runs off 120 balls with five boundaries.
Both had a match-winning partnership of 162 runs in front of disciplined Zimbabwe bowling attack.
Earlier, Bumrah took four wickets which helped India cementing Zimbabwe at a score of 168 runs.
