India's second match in the World Cup 2023 is against Afghanistan. This match will be played on 11 October at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Team India recently defeated Australia by six wickets at Chennai after initial hiccups.

So far only 3 ODI matches have been played between India and Afghanistan. During this period, India has won two matches. While one match ended in a tie. Now once again these two teams will face each other on the field.

The first match between India and Afghanistan was played in March 2014. In this match played in Mirpur, Team India had won by 8 wickets. The second match was played in September 2018. This match was tied. The third and so far last ODI between India and Afghanistan was played in June 2019. India won this match by 11 runs. Batting first, India had scored 224 runs. In response, the Afghan team was all out on the score of 213 runs.

It is noteworthy that India's first match in the World Cup 2023 was against Australia. Team India won it by 6 wickets. Now the match will be played against Afghanistan.

After this, the match will be played between India and Pakistan on 14 October. This match will be held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Indian team will play the last match before the semi-finals against Netherlands. This match will be held in Bangalore on 12th November.

If we look at the points table of World Cup 2023, New Zealand is on top. He has played one match and won this match. Along with New Zealand, South Africa, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh have also won their respective matches. Therefore, all these teams have two points each. But due to high net run rate, New Zealand is on top.
