Wales defeats Belgium, enters Euro cup semi-final

New Delhi: Two Real Madrid mates, Gareth Bale and Criatiano Ronaldo, will fight against each other in the Euro cup semis as wales defeated Belgium in the quarter final on Friday night. Ronaldo's team, Portugal, has already reached the group of eight.

Wales dominated throughout the match. Its rival put up some resistance for some time but later it became an one sided affair. The match ended in a 3-1 win for wales.

This was the second quarter final match. The third quarter final will be played on Saturday night between Germany and Italy.

The result has been very pleasing to wales. "It feels incredible. We fully believed we could get this far. We said we'd give it a good go. We're enjoying the journey," said Bale in a tweet after the match.

"We fought as hard as anyone. We covered every blade of grass. I think we deserve to be in the semi-finals. We believe in ourselves. We know what we're doing." he added.
