Tokyo Paralympics: Shooter Singhraj Adhana wins Bronze medal in Men's 10m Air Pistol

New Delhi: India's Singhraj Adhana won a bronze medal in the final of the men's 10m air pistol event at the Tokyo Paralympics. While Manish Narwal disappointed in the title match and was eliminated in the second round.

Shooter Singhraj wins Bronze medal:

Earlier in the women's 10m air pistol event, Rubina Francis of India crashed out of the final race. She finished seventh in the final with 128.5 points. Whereas, archer Rakesh Kumar lost in the quarterfinals of the men's individual event.

Rakesh Kumar was defeated by Xinliang of China by a margin of 145-143 in the individual compound open quarterfinal match. At the same time, in women's table tennis, the Indian team comprising Bhavina Patel and Sonal Patel was defeated by Zhou Ying and Zhang Bian of China in straight sets. The Indian team was defeated by China 11-2, 11-4, 11-2. On the sixth day, Indian players won a total of five medals including two gold medals.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Singhraj Adhana for winning the bronze medal in the Tokyo Paralympics. Congratulating Singhraj Adhana, PM Modi said, "Exceptional performance by Singhraj Adhana! India's talented shooter brings home the coveted Bronze Medal. He has worked tremendously hard and achieved remarkable successes. Congratulations to him and best wishes for the endeavours ahead. #Paralympics #Praise4Para"

Team India in Tokyo:

Simran Sharma finished fifth in the women's 100m T-13 race. Which meant she missed out on qualifying in the finals. She completed this distance in 12.69 seconds. This is her best performance of the season. But unfortunately she could not qualify.
