However, Praveen missed out on winning the gold medal in this match. At one time Praveen was in the race to win the gold medal. But Britain's Broom Edwards turned him back. After which the Indian athlete had to be satisfied with the silver medal.

PM Modi congrats Praveen:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Praveen Kumar on this historic achievement. In his congratulatory message, PM Modi tweeted and wrote, 'Proud to win a silver medal in the Paralympics of Praveen, this medal is the result of his hard work and constant hard work, congratulations to him. Best wishes to Praveen for the future.'

Team India in Tokyo:

India has sent a 54-member contingent to the Tokyo Paralympics, which will challenge India in nine events. This is the largest contingent sent by India to any Paralympics so far. The Indian contingent consists of athletes who have won medals in the Paralympic Games in the past.

This time too, the country is expected to win more medals than these athletes. Paralympic Games started from the year 1968 in which India's performance has been good. Indian para athletes have so far won a total of 12 medals including four gold, four silver and four bronze medals in these Games.
