Saina Nehwal got hitched with Parupalli Kashyap, to host reception on Dec 16

Mumbai: In a surprise to her fans, ace Indian Shuttler got hitched with her her long time boyfriend and badminton player Parupalli Kashyap on December 14.

Saina took to Twitter and shared the picture with the caption, “Best match of my life...#justmarried.”

Both the players kept their relationship a secret affair. Kashyap, who remains to be one of India's finest male shuttlers, recently posted a photograph where he was seen handing over the invitation card to coach Pullela Gopichand. "Thank you anna, Akka and aunty . Pillars of #gopichandacademy . Blessed to be part of this family #gopichandacademyfamily," Kashyap wrote.

The couple will be hosting the reception on December 16 where they will also get married through religious ceremony. The reception will be hosted in Hyderabad - close to the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

The couple joined the list of Indian sportspersons who got hitched together.
