Men in Blue wear mother’s name as tribute to women

Visakhapatnam: In a tribute to women across the globe, Indian Cricket team players wore jerseies with names of their mothers on them. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has partnered with broadcasters Star Plus in a campaign named Nayi Soch following which the players arei wearing such jerseys.

Indian team is playing a decider fifth ODI against Black Caps with series levelled 2-2.

Men in Blue skipper MS Dhoni, during toss, said that he has been made proud by players who took such an initiative.

What else MS Dhoni said during toss?

• We used to have the Dads' surnames, ignoring the mothers' contributiion.
• It is a very emotional connect and it is good that it has been shown in the field
• I would like to request the whole of India.to keep this in mind every day and appreciate them everyday.
