Kohli offers condolence after Hardik, Krunal's father passes away due to cardiac arrest

Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya's father, Himanshu Pandya passed away due to a cardiac arrest today. In the morning, Himanshu suffered a cardiac arrest and could not be rehabilitated. In the past, the Pandya brothers often spoke about their father’s support and contribution in their careers as professional cricketers. According to the India Today report, Hardik mentioned that his father was running a small car finance business in Surat. Later, he shut his business and moved to Vadodara to help his sons to get proper training facilities.

Then he enrolled his sons in former India wicketkeeper Kiran More's cricket academy in Vadodara from where the two brothers gained limelight.

Meanwhile, after the completion of the limited-overs series against Australia, Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya returned to India last month from Australia. The Indian all-rounder has been treating his back and thus, he was not ready to play the Test series. The cricketer suffered multiple back injuries in the past.

Currently, Hardik has been spending time with his wife Natasa Stankovic and their baby boy Agastya. The cricketer also began training for the upcoming white-ball series against England.

Meanwhile, Baroda skipper Krunal Pandya has left the bio bubble created for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in Vadodara in order to be with his family and as a result, he won’t be playing for Baroda in the ongoing tournament.

Virat Kohli expresses condolence:

Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli took to his Twitter handle to offer his condolence. He wrote, "Heartbroken to hear about the demise of Hardik and Krunal's dad. Spoke to him a couple of times, looked a joyful and full of life person. May his soul rest in peace. Stay strong you two. @hardikpandya7 @krunalpandya24."

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar also took to his Twitter handle and wrote, "Really sorry to hear about the demise of your father @krunalpandya24 & @hardikpandya7 Condolences to your family and friends. May God give you strength in these difficult times."
