Kanpur:Indian Cricket team on Sunday gave a improvable target of 434 runs before New Zealand after declaring its second innings on 377 runs with Rohit Sharma and Jadeja scoring fifties on Day 4 of the first Test of the three-match series at the Green Park stadium in Kanpur.

India was on a dominant note from the start of its 2nd innings and the same continued on Day 4 with Vijay and Pujara continuing their innings. India, however, lost Pujara (78), Vijay (76) and skipper Kohli (18) in the opening session.

Ajinkya Rahane played a risk-free knock of 40 runs off 80 balls scoring four boundaries.

Crushing the criticism, Rohit came strongly and along with Jadeja shone an unforgiving light on the inadequacies of New Zealand spinners. Rohit had hit eight boundaries in his 68* runs innings while Jadeja yet again played a quick knock of unbeaten 50 runs claiming two fours and three sixes.
