BCCI electoral board members locked horns in a friendly match at the iconic Motera Stadium on Wednesday, ahead of the board's Annual General Meeting (AGM). Sourav Ganguly and Jay Shah led the two teams constituting of the board members from different state associations including former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin, who was part of the Jay Shah XI.

Jay Shah XI beat Sourav Ganguly XI by 28 runs in the 12-overs-per-side match at Motera, as per India Today. Shah XI batted first in the game and went on to post 128/3 on the board in 12 overs with the help of Azharuddin's 37-run knock and Jaydev Shah's 38. However, captain Shah was dismissed on 2 off 6 balls and couldn't make an impact in the match.

It was Ganguly who picked up the wicket of the BCCI secretary while bowling for his team. In reply, Ganguly XI were restricted to 100/4 in 12 overs. The former India captain rolled back the years with his 53 off 32 balls but couldn't take his team over the line in the friendly game. Shah picked up 2 wickets in his 4 overs while conceding 39 runs while Jaydev Shah also picked up two wickets for the Jay Shah XI.

The Gujarat Ranji team's official Twitter account shared the pictures from the match on Twitter where the two teams were seen dressed in retro Indian jerseys. This was the first-ever match played at the Motera Stadium. Also, which is the biggest cricket stadium in the world with a seating capacity of over 1,14,000

BCCI AGM on December 24:

The Annual General Meeting of the board will be conducted at the Motera Stadium on Thursday. In addition, where a number of important issues will be discussed. The inclusion of the new teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). And preparations regarding the resumption of domestic cricket in the country will be high on the agenda. The preparations for the England tour of India next year will also be discussed.
