Kanpur: New Zealand Cricket team on Saturday has scored 238 runs losing five wickets at lunch on the Day 3 of the first Test of the three-match series at the Green Park stadium in Kanpur.

New Zealand has got two major blows in the form of Tom Latham (58) and ace-batsman Ross Taylor (0) who got leg before to Ashwin and Jadeja respectively. Other batsmen were Kane Williamson (75) and Luke Ronchi (38) who got dismissed few overs before lunch.

Jadeja was the major charm for Indian bowling bagging two crucial NZ wickets. On the other hand, Ashwin helped the side to get rid of dangerous skipper Williamson.

Earlier, rain played spoilsport and forced umpires to call it a day on Friday.

India, in its first innings, had scored 318 runs.

Black Caps are trailing by 80 runs.
