Indian Hockey team registers 2-1 win against Ireland

Valencia: After sporting a tremendous game play, Indian Hockey team have overpowered minnows Ireland by 2-1 in the second encounter of the Six Nation Hockey Tournament on Tuesday.

The efforts of Talwinder Singh and skipper Sardar Singh helped India to score two goals in the 22nd and 23rd minutes respectively while Ireland’s midfielder Kyle Good was the lone warrior for their side as scored maiden goal for them.

Ireland, however, started the proceedings as took 1-0 lead in the fourth minute with Kyle’s brilliance on the ground.

It was not an easy win for the Indians as Irish gave a tough fight throughout the match.

Previously, Indian Hockey team lost 0-4 to Germany in the opening fixture of the Six Nation Hockey Tournament.
