India vs England: India on top as England loses 6 on Day 4

Mumbai: India took full control over the fourth India vs England Test after they sent six English batsmen back to pavilion till the end of Day 4 of the Mumbai Test, being played at Wankhede Stadium here on Sunday.

At stumps on Day 4, England was reeling at 182/6 with Jonny Bairstow (50*) at the crease.

Indian bowlers have dismissed six England batsmen while the visitors still require 49 runs to wipe out the lead.

After three England wickets had fallen for just 49 runs till Tea on Day 4, Joe Root tried to quickly cover the lead and played a fighting 77-run innings off 112 balls. But he fell prey to a quicker ball bowled by Jayant Yadav.

Bairstow has shown signs of fight but after the departure of Root, Ben Stokes (18) and Jake Ball (2) failed badly in standing firm in front of formidable Indian bowling attack.
