India can top ICC Test rankings under Virat Kohli: MS Dhoni

Lauderhill (US): Reposing full faith in captaincy of Virat Kohli in longest format of the game, Indian limited overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Monday said that the Test team can top the ICC Test Rankings at the the end of its Cricketing season.

India is scheduled to play 13 Test matches against New Zealand, England, Australia and Bangladesh during next few months.

MS Dhoni said:

• I think the Indian Test team is shaping up well. It seemed we were more settled in T20 and ODI.
• For the last 2 and a half years, we had the same batting unit, barring one or two changes.
• We have 10 proper fast bowlers and it's an asset.
• We can rotate our fast bowlers if we want to.

Praising Indian spinner Amit Mishra’s performance, Dhoni said, “Mishra bowled really well in the last T20 against West Indies and called it as a brilliant effort.”

MSD also said plenty of Test matches are coming as an opportunity for youngsters to test their skills as it is the ultimate format of the Cricket.
