India look to level series in Nagpur

After suffering several defeats in the recent T20 matches, Indian team would be looking to thump Aussies in the second T20 match to be played at Nagpur and level series 1-1.

Unlike Mohali, batting would not be that easy at Nagpur. Average first innings score batting first is around 160 and on this ground matches are won usually by the team batting first. 6 out of 9 matches played here have been won by the team batting first.

In the last 5 T20's played, death bowling has been a prime concern for the Indian team. Indian bowlers have conceded runs with the economy of 10.8 while taking just 6 wickets.

Last three outings against key opponents have been not so good for Indian death bowling. Be it against Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the Asia Cup or in the first T20 against Australia at Mohali, issues of leaking runs remain the same in absence of Bumrah and team lacks that spark in death bowling. The problem might get resolved with return of Bumrah in today's match while Umesh might get a break in case team management decides to rest him for a match.

Jaspreet Bumrah is returning back from injury and this game time is very important for players who have not been playing recent matches due to injuries.

Another interesting fact that one needs to keep in mind is, when it comes to picking wicket in the last 5 overs, Bumrah tops the list with 35 wickets to his name while the second name in the list is Bhuvneshwar Kumar with 34 scalps to his name. So even though Bhuvi has not been in good form recently still he has proven himself several times and stats showcase his class as well. Nevertheless, his recent form has been a cause of worry for fans as well as team management ahead of the T20 World Cup.

Key players to watch out for in today's match:

For India, Hardik Pandya will be the player to watch out for. With the kind of sublime form he is in, allrounder can pick some wickets as well at crucial intervals apart from smashing ball out of park while batting in middle overs. In bowling department Axar Patel has shown all the variations along with the capability of containing runs and he is man to watch out for.

For Aussies, Zampa will be the player to count on with his capability of flighting the ball even against the best of batting line-ups, he can be lethal taking crucial wickets in the middle overs taking match away from opposition in no time.

In batting department Aussies would count on Finch and Maxwell and with the pitch slightly favourable for bowlers these two need to fire for Australia to counter hosts at Nagpur.
