India Hockey team loses 2-3 to New Zealand in Four-nation tour

Melbourne: The hopes of Indian Hockey team bagging the four-nation Invitational Tournament title crushed with 2-3 defeat in the hands of New Zealand here on Saturday.

Rupinder Pal Singh scored both goals for India in 18th and 57^th minute of the game respectively. The hard fought game ended with New Zealand hitting its third goal in the final quarter of the game.

India will take on Malaysia for the 3^rd/4^th place play-offs. Earlier, India had beaten Malaysia by 4-2 on Friday.
