Ahemadabad: India defeated Iran 38-29 to win the Kabaddi World Cup final for the third consecutive year here on Saturday. India have thus won all the three Kabaddi World Cups held so far.

Ajay Thakur remained the star by claiming 12 points in the final encounter.

"This is the best moment of my life,” said Thakur after the win.

He added, "Kabaddi is India’s sport and we have managed to continue our domination. We will dance in the hotel all night."

Iran started off brilliantly by taking lead 18-13 in the first half but Thakur changed the momentum of the game in second half by coming on aggressively over the opponents.
