Rajkot: Winning the toss, New Zealand opted to bat against India in the second T20I of the three-match series at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium here on Saturday.

It is debut game for young gun Mohammed Siraj. India head coach Ravi Shastri has handed Siraj his maiden cap.

The tourists have made a couple of changes bringing in Adam Milne in place of Tim Southee and Glenn Phillips for Tom Latham.

India is 1-0 up in the three-match series after winning the opening tie at the Ferozshah Kotla in Delhi on Wednesday.

The game could be seen a chance for skipper Virat Kohli to get his name registered in record-book for two records. Kohli needs one boundary to become the first Indian and third overall, after Tillakaratne Dilshan and Mohammad Shahzad to hit 200 fours in T20Is.

Virat will also add another feather to his cap if he scores minimum 10 runs in today's encounter. He will become the first Indian and 8th overall to complete 7000 runs in T20 cricket.

Teams:

India (Playing XI): Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli(c), MS Dhoni(w), Shreyas Iyer, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj

New Zealand (Playing XI): Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Kane Williamson(c), Tom Bruce, Glenn Phillips(w), Henry Nicholls, Colin de Grandhomme, Mitchell Santner, Adam Milne, Ish Sodhi, Trent Boult
