Indian women’s cricket captain Harmanpreet Singh slammed the poor umpiring in the third one-day match between India and Bangladesh, which ended in a tie depriving India a chance to win the series.

A visibly upset Harmanpreet hit the stumps with her bat after being adjudged Leg Before Wicket (LBW) during the match.

India, which looked set to win the match at one stage, lost six wickets in quick succession in only 34 runs.

In reply to Bangladesh’s 225 runs, the Indian team appeared to cruising toward victory with the score reading 160 for 3 in 33 overs.

The situation, however, changed dramatically after Harmanpreet got out to what appeared to be a dubious decision in 34th over on her personal score of 14. The ball appeared to be drifting outside the leg stump.

Indian team folded quickly and was bowled out for 225 runs ending the match in a tie.

‘’This is not the kind of umpiring one expects at international level…..something must be done in this regard,’’ Harmanpreet said later.
