New Delhi: The man who make things look effortless with his languid style of batting turned 29-year old. The pace on which Indian skipper Virat Kohli is marching, he looks like a giant who is hungry for breaking every record coming his way.

The number of tons he has to his name is a well-known fact for everyone. At the age of 29, Virat Kohli is just behind God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar in number of centuries in ODIs. Sachin leads the chart with 49 tons while Kohli is the only batsman who is nearing to break his record with 32 centuries.

Leaving his batting aside, Virat has also blossomed as the captain with nine-match winning streak in ODIs, equalling former India skipper Dhoni's record of most consecutive wins.

He also became the first Indian skipper to tour-wash any team with 3-0 (Tests), 5-0 (ODIs) and 1-0 (T20) wins against Sri Lanka.

Check few other records held by Virat Kohli:

  • After amassing 263 runs in the recently concluded New Zealand series, Virat became the only Indian cricketer topping the ICC rankings for ODI batsmen with 899 points.
  • In the same series, he achieved another feat by reaching fastest 9000 ODI runs in just 194 innings.

  • Together with Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli shared 230-run stand, inking his name along with former atop on the list of most double century stands. Gautam Gambhir and Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly, Upul Tharanga and Mahela Jayawardene follow the duo with three such partnerships.
  • With four double centuries to his name in red-ball Cricket, he holds the record of the most double tons by any Indian captain.
