French Open: Paes-Hingis beat Sania-Dodig

Paris: Star Indian tennis player Leander Paes along with Swiss partner Martina Hingis completed a ‘career slam’ with a win over Sania Mirza and Ivan Dodig on Friday.

Paes and Hingis has won Wimbledon, US open and Australian open in the past.

The unseeded Indo-Swiss pair eked out a 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 win over the second seeds.

• It was the 18th Grand Slam title for Paes.

• It was the 10th Grand Slam in the mixed doubles.

• For Hingis, it was her 22nd Grand Slam and fifth in the mixed doubles.
