Chandigarh: If we have to credit just one player for the memorable 2007 T20I and 2011 50-over World Cup victories, he will be none other than Yuvraj Singh, who is celebrating his 36th birthday today.

The all-rounder who fought against cancer to lead India to cricketing glory in 2011 always used to be at his best on the ground whenever provoked by the opposition.

No Cricket fan across the world would ever be able to forget the moment when Yuvraj Singh sent frontline English bowler Stuart Broad out of the park six times in an over during the 2007 Twenty20 International World Cup.

The flamboyant southpaw had shot to fame after playing a brilliant match-winning knock during the 2002 Natwest Trophy final. He played many match winning innings during the 2011 World Cup and also proved handy with the ball. He, however, suffered a severe medical condition immediately after the conclusion of the cricketing extravaganza that was later diagnosed as cancer.

But keeping up with his on-field fighting spirit in real life also, he also defeated the deadly disease and returned to the Indian playing XI.
