Dubai Super Series: Sindhu avenges Olympic defeat, beats Carolina

Dubai: Taking the revenge of her defeat in Rio Olympics final, Indian ace-shuttler PV Sindhu on Friday knocked two-time World Champion Carolina Marin out of the BWF World Super Series. Sindhu registered her name for the semi-finals winning a do-or-die game.

Sindhu dominated Carolina 21-17 21-13 in a hard fought Badminton game. The match lasted 46 minutes.

The win took Sindhu at the second spot, behind China’s Sun Yu, who is leading the tally winning all three matches in Group B. Sindhu will lock horns with Group A topper Ju Hyan Sung of South Korea in the semi-finals.
