Harare: After losing a game by a whisker in the hands of Zimbabwe, Indian skipper MS Dhoni has said that if he could have played up in the order at No. 4, result would have been different but skipper counted the series as a learning ground for the youngsters and focussed on giving them chances to bat on those numbers.

He said-

  • The series is not for me. If I had to bat up, I could easily bat at four for this team.
  • It is important for the youngsters to bat at that number because this is an opportunity for them.
  • The only reason I am here is to understand them and at the same time guide them as to what has to be done.

Young Indian brigade failed to execute the things correctly while MS failed to finish the game.

Even after losing a nail-biting match, the right-handed batsman took the game as a learning curve for the youngsters.

Dhoni, however, admitted that whenever we represent the nation, we have to take it in a serious manner.
