Davis Cup: Ramanathan powers India to take 1-0 lead Vs Korea

Chandigarh: Tennis player Ramkumar Ramanathan has defeated Seong Chan Hong of South Korea by 1-0 on his Davis Cup debut in the Asia/Oceania Group-I tie at the Chandigarh Club on Friday.

The game ended with Hong suffering a knee injury before Ramanathan was leading by 6-3 2-6 6-3 6-5 (15-15).

It was a hard-fought victory as it took about two hours and 36 minutes.

In ATP singles list, Ramkumar is ranked 217.
