The Indian team, which is moving towards winning the World Cup 2023 title, has suffered a big setback in the middle of the tournament.

Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of World Cup 2023 due to injury. Earlier it was expected that Hardik would make a comeback in the last league match against Netherlands, but now it is being said that it is difficult for him to get fit in time. Therefore, he has been dropped from the team squad and fast bowler all-rounder Prasidh Krishna has been given a place in the team.

The Indian team is riding on the chariot of victory since the beginning of the World Cup 2023. India has entered the semi-finals first by winning 7 out of 7 matches. Now India's next match is against South Africa on 5th November. After this he has to play his last league match against Netherlands on 12 November. After this the semi-finals are to be played on 15th or 16th November.

Hardik Pandya's exclusion may affect the combination of the Indian team. Because in the initial matches he had performed well as a fast bowler and all-rounder. On 19 October, he suffered an ankle injury while bowling against Bangladesh in Pune. Now Prasidh Krishna has been included in the team squad in his place.

The Indian team will meet South Africa on Sunday. The outcome of the match will however have no bearing on India’s place in the semi-finals. India, which was not earlier considered to be in the race for the world cup, is now a major contender of the trophy. It remains to be seen if Hardik Pandya’s absence does affect the performance of the men in blue.
