New Delhi: Following awe-inspiring performances in the International Cricket, Indian Cricket team all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been promoted to Grade A in the annual contracts for the 2017-18 season.

Apart from Jaddu, Cheteshwar Pujara and Murali Vijay have also been rewarded for their performances in the red ball Cricket and jumped to the top category, announced the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday.

The amounts have been doubled as Grade A players will be paid Rs 2 crore per annum, Grade B will be paid Rs 1 crore and Grade C will get Rs 50 lakh per annum.

The same will come into effect from October 1, 2016.

Suresh Raina is a big name who failed to make in the list while Yuvraj Singh and Ashish Nehra have managed to register themselves in Grade B and C respectively.

India's young brigade - Rishabh Pant, Karun Nair, Jayant Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kedar Jadhav have been put in Grade C. Harbhajan Singh has been left out.
