BCCI may start T10 league next year

Seeing the popularity of T10 cricket across the world, now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also shown its interest in this format.
According to a report, BCCI may start T10 league in September-October next year.

IPL franchises may hinder BCCI's plan to start a T10 cricket league, as they would not want any league equivalent to IPL to be created. Currently, franchises have the right to reject any new model proposed by the BCCI and similar to the IPL. However, BCCI is confident that the franchises will not create obstacles. BCCI source said, 'We do not think that the franchise teams will have any problem with the T10 league. If BCCI starts this league, it will give the first right to purchase teams to those franchises who are associated with IPL.
According to the report, many issues are being debated regarding starting the new T10 league and the decision is pending.
Organizing ODI is no longer a profitable deal. There is a fear that ODI cricket will be sacrificed when the T-10 league starts. BCCI's interest in bilateral ODI series is decreasing. Sponsors-Broadcasters are also staying away from it.
The income from the Indian Premier League has made BCCI the richest cricket board in the world. The board hopes that the T-10 league will attract not only the fans but also sponsors and broadcasters.
