Bad news: Narsingh Yadav found positive in second dope test
New Delhi: Indian wrestler Narsingh Yadav has now been found positive in the second dope test conducted on him on July 5.
“Banned anabolic steroid Methandienone was the substance found from his sample. It is the same substance which was found in the first test,” said a highly places source
Yadav has been claiming that he has been framed in the scandal by rivals, who, he alleged, spiked his food supplements and meals.
The 26-year-old Maharashtra wrestler was picked over two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar after he won the quota place with a bronze medal in last year's World Championships.
Meanwhile, the WFI has named Parveen Rana as the replacement in the 74kg category and the move has been approved by United World Wrestling.
