Archers Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Ojas Deotale won India's 16th gold medal of the ongoing Asian Games as the pair defeated South Korea in the compound mixed team event.

The duo of Jyothi and Ojas defeated Korea's So Chaewon and Joo Jaehoon 159-158 in the gold medal match. This was India's 71st medal at the Hangzhou games, their best-ever at Asian Games.

Earlier, India won bronze medal in 35km race walk mixed team event. World Champion Neeraj Chopra will be defending his men's javelin throw gold medal and Lovlina Borgohain will compete in the women's 75kg boxing category final against China's Li Qian on Wednesday

India's Abhay Singh and Anahat Singh win the first game. They are one game away from setting up an all-India final in the squash mixed team event.

Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh will look to set up an all-Indian final as they take on Malaysia's Aifa Binti Azman and Mohammad Syafiq Bin Mohd Kamal. Earlier, Dipika Pallikal Karthik and Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu reached the final.

India beat Nepal 3-1 (25-23, 26-28, 25-23, 25-17) in a Group G classification match.

India's Tanisha Crasto and Sai Pratheek Krishna Prasad suffer straight-games defeat (18-21, 18-21) against Malaysia's Toh Ee Wei and Chen Tang Jie in the mixed doubles round of 16 match.

Sunil Kumar went down 1-5 against Iran's Naser Alizadeh in the men's 87kg Greco-Roman semifinal. He will now fight for bronze medal.

The duo of Dipika Pallikal Karthik and Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu will take on Hong Kong's Lee Ka Yi and Wong Chi Him for a place in the final.
