India will be hoping for some more medals from its shooters today in the Asian Games 2023. India got five medals on the first day of the competition, six on the second day and three on the third day. With a total of 18 medals, India is ranked seventh in the medal table. This includes five gold, five silver and eight bronze medals. Today, one gold, one silver and two bronze medals were won in shooting. There is hope of many medals on the fourth day also.

Sift Kaur is the first athlete to win gold for India in a singles event at the Asian Games 2023. Earlier, all three gold medals had come in the team event.

Sift has also set a new world record with winning the gold medal. He scored 469.6 which is 2.6 more than the previous record.

In the individual event in shooting, Sift and Asi are expected to win medals. Before the last round, Sift is in first place and Asi is in second place.

Squash team's victory-

India defeated Nepal 3-0 in their second Pool B match.

Shooting team wins gold.

The Indian shooting team has also won today's second medal. India has bagged the gold medal. Manu Bhaker, Isha Singh and Rhythm Sangwan have won the gold medal in the 25m pistol team event! They beat China by three points! Bhaker started the round with a two-point lead and as the round progressed, he increased it to three points. She also topped the qualifying and will be shooting with Isha Singh, who finished 5th in the individual event final.

Rhythm Sangwan missed out after finishing 7th as only the top six players qualify, but even if Rhythm was in sixth place, he would still have been eliminated. According to the rules, only two players from one country can participate in the final.
