Angelique Kerber claims US Open title, beats Karolina Pliskova

New York: Germany’s Angelique Kerber on Sunday won the US Open Tennis tournament in women’s singles category defeating Czeck Republic’s Karolina Pliskova in the finals.

Kerber defeated Karolina by 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 in a big game.

It was Keber’s second Grand slam in a year.
