Users in turmoil as WhatsApp down due to technical glitch

New Delhi: Instant messaging App, WhatsApp left the millions of users across the globe frustrated after it developed a technical snag for about 20 minutes on Thursday.

People were facing problems in sending and receiving messages over the largest and the most popular online messaging platform.

Problem was majorly reported in countries like India, US, South America and Africa. Users flocked the other social media websites including Twitter and Facebook to report the issue.

WhatsApp, however, tendered an apology to its millions of users for the inconvenience.

In a statement, the company said, "Some people have had trouble accessing WhatsApp for a short period today. We apologise for the inconvenience."
