Gorakhpur: Social media has once again been used to spread hatred, this time through a morphed photograph depicting Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati as Goddess Kali. She has been shown having a foot over Prime Minister Narendra Modi (shown as Lord Shiva) who is laying on the ground.

Apart from this, Mayawati is holding the severed head of Union Minister Smriti Irani in one of her four hands, while Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat is standing right next to her.

The poster, which soon went viral over popular social platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter after allegedly being circulated on a WhatsApp group, has highly irked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers.

A BJP councillor in Gorakhpur also registered a case into the matter at the Kotwali Police Station here on Monday.

According to the BJP Councillor, the disgraceful photograph was first circulated on a WhatsApp group by a teacher, who is a resident of Kaudiram. He has sought strict action against the person who had disrespected our Prime Minister.
