Mumbai: Acknowledging the havoc created by the heavy downpour in Mumbai, Google has created a SOS alert on its webpage.

The giant search engine displayed the SOS alert on the Mumbai floods giving all the needed information to keep everyone in the world well informed about the situation.

The Indian navy turned out to be the boon in the bane for Mumbaikars. It has opened community kitchens and food counters at various locations in the city to provide relief to commuters stranded in torrential rainfall.

Navy Spokesperson said,“Community kitchens providing food opened at Churchgate, Byculla, Parel, CST, Worli and Tardeo, Mumbai Central, Dadar, Mankhurd, Chembur, Malad and Ghatkopar.”

“Food counters opened at various locations in Mumbai for stranded commuters,” the Indian Navy announced. “Indian Navy for you...Anytime Anywhere Everytime,” he added.

Arrangement for the shelter have also been made by the Western Naval Command for the people who were left stranded after heavy rains lashed the city.
