After Yogi as CM, UP may get more surprises from the Bharatiya Janata Party

Lucknow: The list of BJP surprises has not yet come to an end and if you are still wondering what strategy did lead the Bharatiya Janata Party to elect Yogi Adityanath as the Chief Minister of the state, names of other ministers may also give you a shocker.

Reigns of Uttar Pradesh, after being ruled by the Samajwadi Party for five years, has gone to the saffron leader Yogi Adityanath who would swear-in as the CM of the state on March 19 along with his council of ministers whose names have not been yet finalised.

It was announced on March 18, with the announcement of Yogi Adityanath leading the UP council of ministers, that Keshav Maurya and Dinesh Sharma will hold the responsibility as the Deputy CMs of the most populated state of the country but, the curtain over the names of other ministers has not yet been raised.

According to the preliminary reports, as many as 44 ministers would be taking the oath of office and secrecy along with the new CM.

BJP's UP in-charge Om Mathur, Secretary Sunil Bansal, State President and newly appointed deputy CM Keshav Maurya are holding a meeting with the party's national president Amit Shah in Delhi and are deciding upon the names. The final list has not released yet and the legislators are still waiting for the most awaited phone call from the party authorities.

It could be mentioned that the state got its new CM almost after a week of bringing the BJP to power. While the names of Manoj Sinha, Dinesh Sharma and Rajnath Singh were doing rounds for the post, the decision that was announced left everyone shocked. The delay in the announcement of council of ministers indicates more surprises, for the states, to be coming out of the box.

The UPiites, however, are expecting a fresh start with the BJP who has been elected to power after 14 years and the party, who got the throne after the 'Vanvaas', itself wants to present a strong and promising image of itself.

The swearing-in ceremony, to be administered by Governor Ram Naik, will take place today in Smriti Upwan where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to be present along with Amit Shah. Yogi Adityanath, himself, went to the venue to check the arrangements of his oath taking ceremony.

Adityanath will also hold a cabinet meeting with his new ministers at 1700 hours just after taking the oath of abiding by the duties.

It could be mentioned that the saffron brigade has won the 2017 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections with thumping majority. Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies sealed a historic win at 325 seats followed by the SP-Congress alliance on 54 seats.
