Unnatural Nitish-Lalu partnership died naturally: Sushil Modi

Patna: In a jolt to the Grand Alliance government in Bihar, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushil Modi on Sunday sought clarification from the state ruling body over the corruption charges on Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav and claimed that the Opposition would not let the Vidhan Sabha function until their demand is met.

Speaking to the reporters here, Modi said, "We will not let the state assembly function until RJD gives clarification over the corruption charges levelled against their leaders including Tejashwi Yadav."

He also attacked the Congress party, the third partner in the Grand Alliance, saying, "Congress has always been backing the corrupts. Hence, we do not have any expectations from them."

Pointing finger towards the Nitish Kumar government, the former Bihar Deputy CM asked, "How can a tainted leader sit behind the CM” adding, "The opposition will aggressively raise the issue in the legislative assembly."

Telling about BJP’s plans, Modi said that the party has called for a meeting on July 26, two days ahead of the beginning of the Vidhan Sabha session on July 28.

"RJD is yet to give explanation over the corruption charges levelled against Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son and other family members, despite repeated demands of clarification by the alliance partner JD-U," he pointed out.
