We challenge Nitish Kumar to impose a ban on the Sangh: BJP

Patna: The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Legislative Party leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Monday challenged the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to ban the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) after he made an appeal to all non-BJP parties to unite and pave way for a Sangh-Mukt Bharat (RSS-free India).

“The people of Bihar want a corruption free state, but attacking RSS has apparently become the sole ambition of the CM. He remains busy trying to prepare grounds for imposing a ban on RSS. Now, we dare him to do so,” said Modi in a repartee to Bihar CM’s attack.

What else Sushil Kumar Modi said:

  • The Congress had tried doing the same and seen the result.
  • Nitish was with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for 17 years and rose to prominence during the ‘Bihar Movement’, which had the support of RSS.
  • Why did he not oppose the Sangh at that time?
