Voting for 199 seats in the Rajasthan assembly poll ended on Saturday.

According to the Election Commission (EC), an estimated 68.2 percent electorate had exercised their franchise till 5 PM. The highest turnout of about 76.6 percent was recorded in Jaisalmer district and the lowest turnout of about 60.7 percent was recorded in Pali district.

A total of 51,890 polling stations were set up in the state for voting. According to the information, 5 crore 26 lakh 90 thousand 146 voters decided the fate of 1862 candidates in the elections.

Both Congress and BJP, the two main players, have claimed victory and expressed confidence that they will form the next government. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that this time the custom will change in Rajasthan and a Congress government will be formed in the state again.

EC sources said that 6,287 'Micro Observers' and 6247 Sector Officers were also appointed to conduct the Assembly elections in a free, fair and peaceful manner.

According to the Election Commission, till 5 pm the highest turnout was in Pokhran at 81.12 percent, followed by Bagidaura (78.21 percent) and Jaisalmer (76.57 percent). With this, 72.09 percent voting took place in Ganganagar while 69.22 percent people cast their votes in the capital Jaipur.

BJP has also complained about Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to the Election Commission. BJP has accused him of campaigning during the silence period. Like Rahul, Priyanka also posted on X platform today. BJP has called this a violation of the model code of conduct and demanded action.

During the assembly elections, 890 voters boycotted voting in Chavarli village of Pindwara Abu assembly constituency of Sirohi district with their demands. Since morning till now, no voter has cast his vote at the polling booth of this village. Administrative and police officials had also reached this village for consultation, but still they could not reason with the villagers.

The villagers demand that their village Chavarli should be included in Basantgarh Gram Panchayat and a service road should also be built on the road towards their village coming from the highway. Due to lack of service roads, many accidents have happened here in which people have died. At present the administrative officials are busy in convincing the villagers.

There were reports of stone pelting in Fatehpur Shekhawati of Sikar during Rajasthan Assembly elections. After stone pelting, a heavy police force has been deployed on the spot.

Counting of votes would be taken up on December three.
