Voting is going on for 199 out of 200 assembly seats of Rajasthan

Both the Congress and BJP have claimed that they will win the polls. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said a few days ago that this time like Kerala, we will create history by registering victory in Rajasthan for the second consecutive time.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the public to help BJP win with a big margin this time.

Congress leader Sachin Pilot cast his vote at a polling booth in Jaipur. Sachin Pilot is in the fray against BJP's Ajit Singh Mehta.

Due to the death of Congress candidate and sitting MLA Gurmeet Singh Kunnar in Karanpur assembly constituency of Ganganagar district, voting will be held later there.

Rajasthan Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said that voting started at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm. There is a direct contest between Congress and BJP. Six smaller parties have also entered the electoral fray.

A total of 51,890 polling stations have been set up for voting in Rajasthan. In the elections, 5 crore 26 lakh 90 thousand 146 voters will decide the fate of 1862 candidates. The voters include 1,70,99,334 young voters in the age group of 18-30, including 22,61,008 new voters in the age group of 18-19.

Tight security arrangements have been made at the polling stations. Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said that voting will be held on Saturday from 7 am to 6 pm, for which all preparations have been completed.

The leaders who are trying their electoral luck this time too from the Congress side include Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Congress State President Govind Singh Dotasra, former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, Assembly Speaker CP Joshi, Ministers Shanti Dhariwal, BD Kalla, Bhanwar Singh Bhati, Saleh Mohammad, Mamta. Bhupesh, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Rajendra Yadav, Shakuntala Rawat, Uday Lal Anjana, Mahendrajit Singh Malviya and Ashok Chandna.

The prominent candidates of BJP are former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore, Deputy Leader of Opposition Satish Poonia and MPs Diya Kumari, Rajyavardhan Rathore, Baba Balaknath and Kirori Lal Meena Maidan.

This time, BJP has also fielded many MPs in the electoral battle to win the Rajasthan elections. BJP gave tickets to 59 sitting MLAs including 6 MPs and one Rajya Sabha member. At the same time, Congress has fielded 97 MLAs, including 7 independent MLAs and one BJP MLA - Shobharani Kushwaha (who was expelled from BJP last year).

Nagaur MP and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party convenor Hanuman Beniwal is also contesting the assembly elections. This party has made an electoral alliance with Chandrashekhar Azad led Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram).
