After the resounding victory of the BJP in Rajasthan, the race for the post of Chief Minister has intensified. There is still suspense over who will become the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.

Meanwhile, senior party leader and former CM Vasundhara Raje reached Delhi on Wednesday night. She left for Delhi from Jaipur airport on Wednesday night. According to sources in Raje camp, she will meet the high command in Delhi on Thursday.

In fact, 60 newly elected MPs of BJP had met Vasundhara Raje at her Civil Lines residence in Jaipur on Monday and Tuesday, this is being seen as a show of strength by Vasundhara. Bharatiya Janata Party sources said that the name of the Chief Minister, the parliamentary board will decide.

Before finalizing the name of CM, a meeting of the party legislature will be called. However, the party has not yet made any official announcement regarding the legislature party meeting. Vasundhara Raje, who has been the Chief Minister of Rajasthan twice, is at the forefront of the race for the post of Chief Minister.

There were several BJP leaders who were considered to be in the race for the top post in the state. They included union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Arjun Ram Meghwal. Besides Diya Kumari and the saffron clad Baba Balaknath were also top contenders for the CM post.

In the assembly election results declared on Sunday, BJP got the mandate of 115 seats, while Congress was limited to only 69 seats. Let us tell you that elections were held on 199 out of 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan. The election on Karanpur seat was postponed due to the death of the Congress candidate, the election here will be held on January 5 and its result will be declared on January 8.
