New Delhi: Congress leader and former Union Minister RPN Singh has resigned from the party. RPN Singh has submitted his resignation to party President Sonia Gandhi. Jharkhand Congress in-charge RPN Singh has resigned from the Congress. RPN Singh has sent his resignation letter to Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday and after that he joined BJP in BJP office.

RPN Singh resigns from Congress:

RPN Singh said, "For 32 years I was in Congress, but now neither is the party that it used to be. The way the double engine government in UP has developed under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. Everyone has seen him."

He said that if it comes late and right, he will do whatever contribution he has to make in the construction of the country and UP. Let us tell you that RPN Singh has also been a minister in the UPA government. He is a resident of Padrauna in Purvanchal of UP.

RPN Singh has also been a Congress MLA from Padrauna assembly seat in 1996, 2002 and 2007. In the 1999 Lok Sabha elections, RPN Singh had finished third. In 2004, he finished second. In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Ratanjit Pratap Narayan Singh (RPN Singh) won the elections and was the Minister of State for Surface Transport and Road, Minister of State for Petroleum and Minister of State for Home in the UPA-II government. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, RPN Singh was defeated by BJP candidate Rajesh Pandey by 85540 thousand votes.

After RPN Singh left the Congress party, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinet said that 'the battle our party is fighting. This is very difficult. It can be fought only with courage, bravery, bravery. Because this battle is being fought by the oppressive government, their arrogant agencies. You need a skill to fight this.
