Trinamool Congress to launch Bharat bachao, BJP hatao campaign

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, who has lately turned the worst critic of the Bharatiya Janata Party after former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, will launch a campaign for ouster of the party next month.The campaign to begin on August 9 next will last three weeks.

In line with Congress Mukta or Congress free India, she has raised BJP Mukta Bharat slogan .

The announcement regarding the campaign was made here on Friday during a rally organised by the party to commemorate the memory of 13 youths who were killed in police firing in the state in 1993 when CPM, a leftist party, was at the helm of affairs.

She appealed to party men to fan into different areas and highlight the " misdeeds" of the BJP and "educate them against their ill designs" during the campaign which will end on August 30.

She has chosen August 9 for launching the campaign because on the same date in 1942 quit India movement had begun.

Mamata has been most vocal against the BJP after Lalu since long. She has been highly critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi even for note-ban which was liked by a large number of people in the country and outside.

His government was blamed recently for violent incidents in Darjeeling although they had taken place in the wake of demand for separate state launched by Gorkhas.
