Chandrababu Naidu’s Influence
Chandrababu Naidu has emerged as a powerful force in Andhra Pradesh. The BJP has actively sought to align with him to maintain their position. Although Naidu had previously distanced himself from the NDA, he once again joined forces with them ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah even engaged in discussions with Naidu over the phone, congratulating him on the impressive performance in Andhra Pradesh.
Nitish Kumar’s Significance
Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar and the national president of the Janata Dal (United), now plays a pivotal role. According to RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari, the possibility of Nitish Kumar and his nephew, Tejashwi Yadav, reuniting is being discussed. Tejashwi Yadav, a leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), recently stated that Nitish Kumar could make significant decisions after June 4. During his recent visit to Delhi, Nitish Kumar met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and was also scheduled to meet Home Minister Amit Shah. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the meeting with Shah took place over the phone. All eyes are now on Nitish Kumar’s next moves.
Sharad Pawar’s Entry into the NDA Fray
In the midst of these developments, Sharad Pawar, the chief of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has also entered the opposition alliance. According to sources, Pawar has been in contact with Chandrababu Naidu, Nitish Kumar, and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Known for his political acumen, Sharad Pawar has taken an active role in the opposition’s efforts to form a government in Delhi. The success of his campaign remains to be seen.
