Silvassa: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has viciously attacked the grand coalition of opposition parties, calling it an alliance against the people of India. The statement has come in the backdrop of the mega Trinamool Congress (TMC) rally that is being organised in Kolkata on Saturday.

PM Modi was speaking at a public event in Silvassa, Gujarat where he took a dig at opposition parties who are heading up to form a great alliance in order to defeat BJP in Lok Sabha elections of 2019.

Modi targeted the 'mahagathbandhan' rally saying that the parties which criticized Congress have now joined hands as they are scared of the centre. They have sealed the deal of alliance in fear of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

He said that this alliance is not against BJP,but against the citizens of India. This fight is about positive ideology and negative attitude,this clash is between development and corruption . He also said that the party with only one BJP MLA in West Bengal is giving nightmares to opposition in Bengal.

Addressing the public, Modi said that opposition is scared because he didn't allow them to rob the public that is why they are joining hands to form a coalition. "No matter how hard opposition parties try, they will lose to BJP" , PM was quoted saying.

The 'mahagathbandhan' rally is being hosted by Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata on Saturday. Leaders from opposition parties like SP, Congress and even some BJP rebels including Shatrughan Sinha attended the rally. This rally marks the beginning of a great tie-up of BJP opponents as they attempt to defeat the central government in Lok Sabha polls of 2019.
