Is Suresh Khanna the dark horse for CM post in UP

Lucknow: The entire Uttar Pradesh has been waiting with a bated breath the name of its new Chief Minister, the Bharatiya Janata Party has to announce following resounding victory in recently concluded assembly polls.

If some inside sources of BJP are to be believed, Suresh Khanna could be the dark horse in the race for the prime chair in the state. Though the names of state BJP Chief Keshav Prasad Maurya, Manoj Sinha , Sidharth Nath Singh have been doing rounds in the party and other political circles, Suresh Khanna has suddenly jumped to the first place.

According to the sources, if Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) gives its nod the CM's chair might go to him.The senior legislator from Shahjahanpur, Khanna, coming from RSS background, commands a clean image and had been minister in the state earlier.

The party is likely to announce the name of new incumbent of Chief Minister post on March 16, the name of Suresh Khanna is among the front runners.
