After losing the Rajya Sabha seat, clouds of crisis are looming over the Congress government of Himachal. BJP is demanding majority test of Sukhu government from the Governor. The Governor has summoned the Assembly Speaker. As soon as the budget session starts, BJP will bring a no-confidence motion in the Assembly today. At present, 6 MLAs of Himachal Pradesh Congress have been posted in Panchkula. Amidst tight security, he has been kept in Hotel Holiday Inn, Sector 3. These MLAs can leave for Himachal Pradesh at any time. Himachal Pradesh BJP President Rajiv Bindal also met these MLAs.

Meanwhile, Congress has also appointed two observers while controlling the damage. Congress is afraid of the fall of Himachal government. Actually, due to cross voting in the Rajya Sabha elections, BJP and Congress got equal number of votes, after which the victory and defeat had to be decided by casting lots. Harsh Mahajan won from Abhishek Manu Singhvi.

After the results of Rajya Sabha elections, Harsh Mahajan told news agency ANI that the Congress government does not have majority. "The state government is currently in minority. The people sitting in the government are ready to come this way, they are unhappy with the government. They are so upset that they can do anything. This government will not work." It will collapse under its own weight.

"Government has no right to remain in power".

A BJP delegation met Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla this morning. Jairam Thakur said after the meeting, "When our chances seemed very slim, we won. BJP candidate Harsh Mahajan won the Rajya Sabha elections. At present, the Congress government has lost the moral right to remain in power." Former CM and opposition leader Jairam Thakur alleged that when BJP members tried to talk to Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania after he was not allowed to vote on cut motions related to the health department, marshals misbehaved with him and Beat up. He said, “We have informed the Governor about this.”

BJP is also considering bringing a no-confidence motion in the Assembly as soon as the budget session starts today. Jairam Thakur yesterday demanded division of votes to pass the state budget instead of voice vote. He said, if permission is given, the division of votes will reveal the actual support of each party. If the Congress government fails to pass the budget, it will itself prove that it does not have a majority in the House.
