Bhopal: Clearing its stand on the corruption allegations against BJP Chief Amit Shah's entrepreneur son Jay Shah, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), on Thursday, said that those accusing him should first present evidences in support of their claim.

On the sidelines of a meeting in Bhopal, RSS joint general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said, "If there are corruption allegations against anyone, they should be investigated. But there has to be prima facie evidence of wrong-doing."

It may be mentioned that 'The Wire' reported the turnover of Jay Shah's company had risen 16,000 times within a year of Narendra Modi becoming the Prime Minister.

Shah has filed the defamation case against the portal The Wire for publishing an article against him saying that it has brought him disrepute.

In his complaint, Jay Shah said the writer and publisher of the article had "wilfully" and "fradulently" tampered with evidence and that "the article was a well-thoughout, well-planned and well-executed conspiracy against the complainant and dignitaries mentioned in the article".
