‘’Son Shine’’ in MP as sons of politicians in queue for assembly tickets

Politicians may have been vowing to check dynasty in politics but when it comes to implementing the vows, they appear to back out.

As the assembly poll in Madhya Pradesh getting closer, the sons of the leaders of both the main rivals-BJP and Congress-have been queuing for tickets from their respective parties.

And interestingly the fathers of these ticket aspirants have also been backing their claims saying that it was not a crime to be the son of a politician.

In fact, Madhya Pradesh BJP president V.D.Sharma said that being the son of a leader was not a crime. ‘’The son of a leader also works as a worker…the party will consider if he seeks ticket in the assembly poll,’’ he added.

So far, the BJP has already given tickets to as many as five people whose fathers have been ministers or legislators.

According to the sources the number of such ticket seekers was much more in the BJP in comparison to the Congress.

Sources said that the sons and daughters of MP ministers, legislators and senior leaders have staked claim from their parents’ constituencies or even from other seats.

Notable among the BJP leaders, whose sons and daughters have expressed their desire to contest in the poll included Prabhat Jha, Jayant Malaiya, Govind Singh Rajput, Gauri Shankar Shejwar, Tulsi Silawat, Gauri Shankar Bisen, Devendra Pratap Singh and some others.

Among the Congress leaders, whose sons and daughters wanted to contest the poll, included Kanti Lal Bhuria, Premchand Guddu and some others. Incidentally former MP chief minister and senior Congress leader Kamalnath’s son Nakul Nathw as already an MP from Chindwara Lok Sabha seat.

It remains to be seen if the parties oblige these leaders and give them nominations.
